I went to Oxford! It's pretty and I'd never been, so why not go for a visit, I thought. These are some of the things I saw:

These books are from a beautiful exhibition about graphic design in medieval England. How neat is that!

All in all, it was a lovely day - you know I could do this for a long time, just walk around, see beautiful things and take photos of them. I don't need a lot more than that when travelling.

The day after, Isabelle and I took the bus to Gatwick and then arrived seven or so hours later on another continent. But those photos are for another day and another blog post. :)

scones, tate & spring

Last weekend was so lovely. It started at the pub on Friday afternoon

with Neil

and Liam, who didn't feel at all like looking like he was having a good time. :)

It was a beautiful, beautiful spring evening.

And then Liam made this delicious risotto.

On Saturday, Liam made scones, and then we ate them, and that was Saturday.

And on Sunday, we went to Liverpool to go to Tate, yay!

This is Liam in front of a green screen

and in a donut. :)

and in a donut. :)

Such cute.

There was a Roy Lichtenstein exhibition which I really liked, in part because getting to see these artworks that I've known for so long up close, was really cool.

I like Liverpool.

This is Liam's "what do you mean you've never had coleslaw ...?!" face.

On Sunday night I needed my alone time, so I went for a walk. It was spring and warm and all kinds of beautiful in Chester.

And then Liam taught me how to play backgammon, which seems like pretty perfect way to end a Sunday.

liverpool & cocktails

Random stuff from the last week:

We spent an evening in Liverpool

Had delicious food

Did a lot of walking

Men hur söt är han då?

Then we went to this gorgeous coctail bar, where apparently Liam's taken all his dates ever, which I can understand because SUCH a great date environment. :)

And the cocktails were pretty amazing.

I brought a proper Swedish easter egg and hid it just like you're supposed to on the morning of Easter Eve (or whatever you call that day in English). It took Liam quite some time to find it, and I had a LOT of fun. :)

Pretty pretty spring morning walks. Can't help but adore this neighbourhood.

We went dancing in Manchester! I took these of Liam and Georgie mostly for fun, but also because Georgie is a fabulous photographer, and I know all too well how rarely you get photos of yourself dancing, when you're always the event photographer yourself. (She took these of us!)

It's been a pretty great week.
